General informationBerths for racing boats
We have dedicated space located in the HSK Guest harbour behind the "Blue Peter" restaurant (between the restaurant and the "Leevene" boat yard area). The places with blue number and "reserved/varattu" sign are for us. BEWARE of SHALLOW WATERS when entering the guest harbour. Read the map and depth markings carefully. BOW TO THE DOCK. The boats can be moved to the berth on Tuesday (and they should be there during the regatta as mentioned in the race documents). After sailing, first eat in Blue Peter... After each day's sailing, Blue Peter restaurant has prepared to serve us a buffet meal (Thu-Sun). The buffet costs 12 euros, and the week's menu includes e.g. delicious pasta and wok. Water, salad, bread, and butter are included. Beer, wine, etc, can be bought for extra price. In addition to the buffet, Blue Peter has also a bistro menu available. However, the buffet deal is attractive and we highly encourage racers and support crews to enjoy this offering! ...then go through the race day's tight action in Iso Pässi After Sail! After the buffet, more beverages and snacks are served in "Iso Pässi" auditorium! Photos, results, tracks, etc are there, and of course all your friends! Iso Pässi is located in the HSK clubhouse, in front of the HSK guest harbour. Saunas and showers are located in the same building. Sponsoring Our sponsor Alberga Brewing provides us forestay flags. The flags must be placed to the forestay always when the boat is docked. Detailed instructions are given when flags are delivered. |

Q&A
Q: Can I park my boat where ever i want in the race berth.
A: First come first served, but only use the places marked with blue numbers and "varattu/reserved" sign. Put the bow to the dock, otherwise you risk your rudder.
Q: Can crew members go to weighing individually, or should we be there as a team?
A: First, before any weighing, the skipper must submit the form provided in the race documents. After that, crew members can perform the weighing individually at all times the weighing location is open. Opening hours can be found in first367.fi/worldcup2017 -> "Schedule".
Q: Can I change the crew members during the regatta?
A: Only with race committees permission BEFORE you leave the dock for the day's racing. You can get the permission from the race office.
Q: I have a couple of persons as "spare" in case of illness or injuries. When do these people weigh themselves?
A: It is preferred to weight them in beforehand, even if you don't know whether you need them or not. Opening hours of the weighing station can be found in first367.fi/worldcup2017 -> "Schedule". Remember that you still have to apply for the crew changes, please see previous question.
Q: Do I have to set the sponsor flag to the forestay?
A: Yes. You have to, always when the boat is docked.
Q: My boat is under HSK flag. Can I use my boat's own place at the harbour?
A: No. You must keep your boat at the dedicated places in the HSK guest harbour.
Q: My helmsman is not an owner. Any special restrictions?
A: Yes. Most importantly, he/she should be a registered ISAF Class 1 sailor. Registration is easy. There are some other requirements too, please read the class rules for more information.
Q: What is the time and place for the tune-up race on Tuesday?
A: First warning signal 18.00. Area: Melkki (20 minutes of motoring from HSK). Separate information will be posted tuesday morning latest to first367.fi/worldcup2017 -> "Notice board".
Q: Why are the Tuesday's boat inspections at the same time as the tune-up race?
A: Because not everyone participates the tune-up race. If you don't, please get your boat inspected on Tuesday. If you participate the tune-up race, Wednesday is a great time for inspections then.
